Dan​Tooker

In July 2007 after exciting KFDI Dan Tooker and the Morning was nominated for Radio Personality of The Year. It was the first time in CMA history that a show was nominated and eventually won the award not being affiliated with a radio station. In November  Dan was honored as winner of the Radio Personality of the Year. In typical form the show posed in a very non-conventional way when accepting the award. Tooker on the CMA  “We didn’t know how the artist and our peers would respond.  In hind sight I wouldn’t have had it any other way. We were brothers in arms and only the three of us knew what we had done to make it happen. Not to mention it was pretty cool to be known as the guys who were making history.  “Tooker, Jon Watkins and Colby Erickson all agreed that in the formal CMA records it would label their CMA win as Formally with KFDI.
